Jeremy Eichler is the Globe's chief classical music critic and the recipient of an ASCAP Deems-Taylor award for work published in the Globe and the New Yorker. A public scholar grantee of the National Endowment for the Humanities, he holds a PhD in European history and is the author of a forthcoming book on music and cultural memory, to be published by Alfred A. Knopf.
