Newlywed Taylor Swift will have new neighbor near her Rhode Island mansion.
Ocean House, similarly perched atop Watch Hill, is a historic resort, and was rumored to be hosting Swift’s wedding before her Madison Square Garden nuptials were confirmed this past Friday.
The hotel’s penthouse residence was listed for $20 million in February and recently went under contract. Zillow lists July 6 as the pending sale date.
The property boasts 4,700 square feet, three bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, and an expansive private terrace. Access to the home is via a private, accessible elevator, and four parking spaces come with the home.
“It was not too difficult to sell,” said Dan Marantz, an office manager and realtor of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New England Properties
In terms of the Swift appeal, “it wasn’t a deciding factor, but we did use it for our marketing and putting it on the map,” Marantz added.
The brokerage did not disclose who bought the property or for how much.
By buying the penthouse, owners also get access to the property’s luxe amenities: a private beach, members-only club room, a fitness center, a spa, and more.
